THE THIRD PLENARY SESSION OF HOMENETMEN’S CENTRAL COMMITTEE IN PARIS
On the occasion of the opening of Homenetmen-France’s new sports complex, the Homenetmen Central Committee, which was visiting Paris, convened the meetings of its 3rd plenary session of the 2023–2027 quadrennial term from November 18 to 21, 2025.
During the four days of meetings, the Central Executive first evaluated its extensive activities of the past year. The main highlights included: the 11th Pan-Homenetmen Inter-steering Committee Conference, the 12th Pan-Homenetmen Games, the Pan-continental camps (Australia, the American continent, and Middle Eastern countries), the quarterly online meetings of regional chairpersons, the organization of the “Araratian” scout rank, scouting delegations, broad promotional efforts (online meetings with regional and continental representatives, the creation of a promotional system, establishment of an office, preparation of a new website, publication of a bilingual e-paper), the printed and online editions of the “Marzig,” the work of Homenetmen’s “Artsakh Fund,” the programs of the “Jirair Sarkissian Endowment Fund,” and others.
The plenary sessions examined the organizational status of the union’s 41 regions and adopted the necessary decisions. In a separate session, Homenetmen’s protocol guide was revised.
As for upcoming work, the following Pan-Homenetmen initiatives planned for 2026 were outlined: the 13th Pan-Homenetmen Jamboree, the first promotional conference, the 10th scoutmasters’ conference, the 12th Inter-steering committee conference, continued work of the “Artsakh Fund,” the organization’s main endowment initiative, the cruise, as well as the launch of the digitization of archives and museum collections.
Alongside the plenary sessions, members of the Central Committee visited and became acquainted with the newly built Homenetmen-France complex in Issy-les-Moulineaux, which has all the facilities and conditions to become Homenetmen’s largest and most important sports center in Europe. On the occasion of the opening, the Central Committee also met with Executive Committee members who had arrived from various regions, especially from the European Solitary Regions.
At the conclusion of the meetings, members of the Central Committee visited the Thiais Cemetery and paid their respects at the grave of one of the organization’s founders, Scoutmaster Krikor Hagopian.
