The 135th Anniversary of Shavarsh Krissian in Yerevan

On the 135th anniversary of Shavarsh Krissian and on the occasion of Armenian Athlete’s Day, with the initiative of Homenetmen HASG Executive Board, a memorial day took place at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport on July 22, 2021. Homenetmen Central Committee Chairman Yeghpayr Vatche Najarian, members Yeghpayr Tavit Hagopian and Yeghpayr Oshin Piroumian, representatives of Homenetmen HASG Executive Board, head of journalism department of the Institute, Executive Board of Yerevan Chapter, and scouts were the participants of this event. After the laying of wreaths, Chairman Yeghpayr Vatche Najarian delivered the message of Homenetmen Central Committee.

Restoration of Homenetemen Artsakh Megousi Region

On Sunday, July 18, 2021, a delegation representing the Homenetmen Central Committee and led by the Chairman of the Central Committee Yeghpayr Vatche Najarian, members Yeghpayr Oshin Piroumian and Yeghpayr Tavit Hagopian, and Kouyr Sandra Vartanian from Homenetmen HASG, visited Artsakh and restored in Stepanakert the Megousi region, which had ceased its operations after the 44-day war.

The Homenetmen delegation met with the new Executive Board of the chapter and consulted with them about Homenetmen's future activities in Artsakh.

The First Pan-Homenetmen Online Jamboree

The first Pan-Homenetmen Online Jamboree (PHOJ) took place on 26 and 27 June, 2021. More than 1000 scouts (over 13 years old) from 25 Homenetmen regions and Armenian Cultural Organization “Ararat” based in Tehran, participated in this Online Jamboree.

The official opening of the Online Jamboree took place on Saturday, June 26, at 5 p.m. (local time in Beirut). The Online Jamboree was represented by two members of the organizing committee, Kouyr Alik Der- Bedrosian Melkonian from Lebanon and Kouyr Sarine Keoseyan from Canada. The Start of the Online Course: “Araradian Gark”

On Saturday, May 22, 2021, the scouts online course “Araradian Gark” undertaken by The Homenetmen Central Committee was launched.

Forty-five leaders who meet all the requirements set by the code of the organization, attended the online course. These leaders came from sections, chapters, and Executive Boards of different countries.

After listening to the anthems of Armenia and Homenetmen and observing a moment of silence in the memory of the deceased members of the orgsnization, Kouyr Talin Ordoghlian, one of the Central Committee Scout Representatives, greeted those who were present and explained why the highest order in Homenetmen, which is organized once every four years, was online this time. Revised and Edited Scout Books Are Available: “Gagough Tatig,” “Norakir,” and “Norendza”

After years of hard work, the scout books titled “Gagough Tatig,” “Norakir,” and “Norendza” are revised and new editions are published in PDF format in the Homenetmen website (https://www.homenetmen.org/hy/library).

These books were edited by Yeghpayr Garbis Kabasakalian who was a former member of the Homenetmen Central Committee, and with the discretion of Homenetmen central Committee, they were first published in 1999. Then, after several years of experimentation, they were discussed and reformed during subsequent pan-Homenetmen conferences and meetings, and after refinement, they were approved by the Homenetmen Central Committee.
