The Homenetmen logo was created by Sdepan Agaian.

At the center of the logo is Mount Ararat, with the sun shining between both of its peeks. The Araks River flows from the slopes of the mountain through the valley of Ararat. The words “Rise” and “Raise” are written in Armenian along the circumference of the circle.

Mt. Ararat stands for the dignity, eternity, and firm faith of Armenians.

The river stands for the blood that our ancestors shed for their liberty and independence.

The sun represents the generations to come, who will one day demand justice for the blood of their ancestors, and the creation of a free, independent, and united Armenia.

The logo was first published on the cover of January 1st, 1920 issue of “Hay Scout” (“Armenian Scout”), which suggests that the it, along with the slogan, was adopted in either the summer or the fall of 1919.

All Homenetmen scouts wear the organization’s logo on their cap.
