NERSES KHUDAVERDIAN
1956 - 1986
Yeghpayr Nerses Khudaverdian was an Homenetmen member endowed with every prospect of success, who on January 31, 1986, together with Vartkes Der Garabedian and Levon Berberian, was martyred in Beirut by the disgraceful crime of the enemies of the Armenian people.
He was born in Beirut in 1956. He joined Homenetmen as a kaylig and scout. For a time, he was part of the Beirut boys’ basketball team. His peers remember him well from LEVAM games, when his mere presence was enough to secure victory for Djemaran’s team.
Raised in the national‑ideological forge of the ARF, Yeghpayr Nerses was an example of sacrifice and devotion to his surroundings. He was a leader of the AYF Youth Organization and a committee member.
