Yeghpayr Hagop Arusdamian, with his lively, energetic, and noble demeanor, was martyred at the age of 18 on December 18, 1996, while fulfilling his military duty in Artsakh.
He served as scoutmaster of the Charentsavan branch. He had joined Homenetmen during the first days of the re‑establishment of scouting in Armenia. In the spring of 1996, he departed for military service and carried out his duty in Artsakh. He was beloved by his commanders. Scouting had played a major role in his life. As an experienced scout, he was among the best soldiers in the army.
