BEDIG INJEIAN

1950 - 1976

Yeghpayr Bedig Injeian was an Homenetmen member who sacrificed himself at the altar of the Armenian Cause, martyred in Paris on May 27, 1976, while carrying out his entrusted mission.

He was born in Anjar in 1950. From a young age he joined Homenetmen as a kaylig and scout. He was an active member, leading many camps, hikes, and snow trips.

As a model Homenetmen member, Bedig Injeian was scoutmaster of Anjar’s unit, a member of the Scout Council, and a branch executive member. He had a great love for football, forming and training the branch’s scout football team. For a time, he was coach and captain of the branch’s first football team.

In 1973, thanks to his efforts, Anjar’s football team won the Bekaa championship. A year later, he was invited to join Homenetmen’s Lebanese representative football team.
