He emphasized that this seminar was unprecedented in the history of the organization, because it emphasized the importance of more organized and professional pr work. For the first time, the seminar sought to bring together and evaluate both traditional and modern means of pr of the organization (print media, publications, radio and broadcast programs, websites, social networks, etc.) and to ensure harmonious and coordinated work based on the principles of the organization.

Yeghpayr Avakian stressed that the pr campaign was not an end in itself but its aim was to increase membership in Homenetmen ranks. He believed that good membership required a good pr campaign, and a good pr campaign in its turn required well studied and effective policies. Yeghpayr Avakian confirmed that until recently they were talking about the Homenetmen scout and sports force but now it was time to discuss about Homenetmen pr work and its members who were attending the seminar.

The speech of the Homenetmen Central Committee was followed by the screening of a video that introduced the "Homenetmen pr world." Later on, the chairman of the organizing committee, Yeghpayr Kevork Hagopjian made a PowerPoint presentation that showed the general picture of the organization’s pr work. He also compared and analyzed the answers to the previously prepared questionnaires.

The first public session was followed by a workshop, where participants in groups had the opportunity to learn about one of the following three professional topics:
